Mama’s began humbly enough in early 1995 as a fledgling catering company looking for an inexpensive storefront kitchen to cook out of. But soon after the lease was signed, it was obvious that this small storefront kitchen was meant to be more. It became a staple to the many diverse communities of the Lower East Side. Simple fresh food, super large portions, and low prices were then, as now, Mama’s Golden Rules.
